Weet-Bix Biscuits

These biscuits are a nice treat for kids after school. They can even help you make them!

- Preparation Time: 15 minutes - Per Serve: 420 kJ (100 calories). Protein 2 g. Fat 3 g. Saturated fat 1 g. Carbohydrate 16 g. Total sugars 10 g. Sodium 60 mg. Potassium 145 mg. Calcium 20 mg. Iron 0.85 mg. Fibre 1.6 g
- Cooking Time: 15-20 minutes  
- Serves: 22  

Ingredients:

Instructions:

  1. Mix together Weet-Bix, rolled oats, flour, sugar, chocolate and apricots until well combined.
  2. Place margarine and golden syrup in a small saucepan and heat gently until melted.
    Mix bicarbonate of soda and water together then pour into margarine mixture. Add to dry ingredients and stir to combine.
  3. Place tablespoons of mixture onto baking trays lined with baking paper. Bake at 160ºC for 15-20 minutes. Cool on trays before serving.
    Note: If you prefer your biscuits chewy, cook them for 15 minutes. For crunchier biscuits, leave in oven for 20 minutes.
